Christmas isn't Christmas without traditional
turkey fresh from the local farm or butcher's shop.
Our locally reared turkeys are hatched on the Wirral by Sally
Hawkins, who is a second generation producer. We use 2 breeds,
Wirral Bronze and Wirral Whites.
The Wirral Bronze grow slowly and take a long time to reach
maturity, producing a bird that has lots of traditional flavour.
The Wirral Whites, a breed developed by Sally, is again slow
growing and has a lot more flavour compared to other breeds. |
